If you are interested in doing your Ph.D. with me, please do contact me (v.spaiser@leeds.ac.uk). I am generally willing to supervise PhD students who plan to work in the area of Mathematical Modelling in Political Science, Computational Political Science, Social Media & Politics, Sustainable Development Goals, Online Political Experiments, ...

Currently, I supervise three PhD students:
  • Nicole Nisbett, who is doing her PhD in collaboration with the House of Commons on how we can improve UK Parliament online public engagement, making use of data analytics,
  • Daniel Valdenegro, who is doing his PhD on Emotions and Collective Actions using a data analytics approach, and
  • Amirali Emami (at Data Analytics & Society CDT), who will be working on improving and extending dynamical systems modeling to better understand and predict sustainable development as envisioned by the UN Sustainable Development Goals
